Sr. Director of Commercial and Legal Affairs (LATAM)

Location: Remote in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Mexico. The role is also described as fully remote and US-based.

What you will do

• Lead commercial contracting and serve as the senior legal owner for complex enterprise, partnership, channel, reseller, SaaS, and technology transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value agreements while advising Sales, Business Development, and executive stakeholders.
• Provide practical guidance on global privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR, CCPA, data protection agreements, and privacy terms.
• Advise Product and Engineering teams on product development, data use, AI and machine learning, intellectual property, open source, and regulatory matters.
• Develop commercial playbooks, templates, policies, negotiation frameworks, and AI-enabled legal processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop legal professionals supporting commercial, privacy, and product counseling functions.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
• 10 or more years of relevant legal experience, including complex technology transactions, enterprise SaaS agreements, and strategic partnerships.
• Meaningful in-house legal experience, preferably in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS business models, cloud services, global privacy and data protection laws, and enterprise sales operations.
• Experience advising Product and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Prior experience managing, mentoring, or developing legal team members.

• Experience with AI-related legal, privacy, commercial, and governance issues.
