Senior Specialist - Software Engineering (AWS DevOps)

hirify.global is hiring for a client engagement with Allegiant Travel Company.

What you will do

• Design and support build, deployment, and configuration management systems for multi-tier applications.
• Deploy and migrate applications from on-premises environments to AWS Cloud and Linux platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Artifactory.
• Deploy multi-tier applications and microservices on AWS EKS and OKD/OpenShift environments.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment workflows with Terraform, Ansible, YAML, Groovy, Shell, PowerShell, and batch scripts.
• Support release management for Java, .NET, Python, and mobile applications.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Extensive experience deploying applications on AWS Cloud and Linux platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, route tables, load balancers, EKS, containers, databases, storage, and AWS Database Migration Service.
• Experience with Docker container-based applications, Kubernetes, OpenShift, microservices, and multi-tier deployments.
• Experience writing Jenkins Groovy, Terraform, Ansible, YAML, Shell, PowerShell, and batch scripts.
• Experience implementing and supporting Java- and PHP-based projects, application servers, SonarQube, Fortify, and automated build environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with BigCommerce applications.
• Exposure to CloudFormation or Terraform implementations.
• Experience deploying Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with Bitbucket Actions.
