Custom Quality Analyst II (Molecular Biology)

Location: On-site in Coralville, Iowa, United States; Monday–Friday, noon to 9:00 pm.

What you will do

• Perform and analyze in-process and final quality-control tests according to standard operating procedures.
• Determine product pass/fail status using molecular biology methods and specialized laboratory equipment.
• Document test results accurately against established product specifications.
• Perform data entry and peer review in accordance with laboratory procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate specialized equipment and assist with troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, such as biology, genetics, chemistry, or a related life science discipline.
• Alternatively, an associate’s degree with at least two years of directly related experience.
• At least two years of applicable laboratory experience.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 35 lb.
• Ability to work the specified on-site weekday schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCR and qPCR.
• Experience with next-generation sequencing.
• Experience with enzymatics.
