Programming Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and optimize CNC machining programs for engine, vehicle, avionics, and test-development hardware.
• Use CAM software including HSM Works, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, and Hypermill.
• Produce hardware on 3-axis and 5-axis machines using Siemens, Heidenhain, Okuma OSP, and Fanuc controls.
• Manage digital tool libraries, tool magazines, carbide tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies.
• Improve manufacturability through drawing and design feedback, stock-tab and frame strategies, and rapid fixture tooling.
• Keep production moving, identify bottlenecks, improve processes, and mentor others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience with multiple CAM packages.
• 2+ years of experience with 5-axis mills, 5-axis mill-turns, live-tooled turret lathes, or similar equipment.
• Hands-on experience with manual and CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to rapidly learn CAM software, manage large tool libraries, and execute with strong attention to detail.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up machine shops and evaluating capital equipment purchases.
• 6+ years of turbomachinery programming experience, including MAX-PAC.
• Python programming experience or similar.
