Staff Mobile Software Engineer in Test (SDET) I - Brazil (AI)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the mobile quality strategy across native iOS and Android applications.
• Design, maintain, and scale mobile automation frameworks with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, and Maestro.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows and lead mobile release and distribution quality practices.
• Define device and operating system coverage using real-device platforms and validate application lifecycle, links, notifications, permissions, biometrics, accessibility, localization, and network conditions.
• Operationalize AI-assisted and agentic testing workflows with measurable validation, reliability, coverage, and human-oversight standards.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams while improving QA practices and mentoring QA engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, including significant manual and automated testing of native iOS and/or Android applications.
• Advanced experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Maestro.
• Proficiency working with Kotlin and/or Swift, plus programming and testing experience with languages and frameworks such as Java, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience with real-device testing, mobile CI/CD, release tooling, debugging, profiling, crash reporting, observability, bug tracking, and test management.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing, AI testing platforms, or MCP-based test generation and execution, including appropriate human validation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with mobile accessibility, localization, internationalization, or visual regression testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and mentoring skills.
• Experience operating effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous technical environments.
