TL;DR
Risk Manager - Risk Partner (Risk Management and IT Governance): Advising technology and operational teams on risk identification, assessment, response plans, controls, and audit readiness with an accent on IT risk, operational risk, compliance, and SOx. Focus on monitoring risks and controls, coordinating cross-functional audit remediation, embedding risk frameworks, and coaching junior risk professionals.
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hybrid working is available, with flexible arrangements and up to 20 days per year working from abroad in the home country. Relocation support is not provided.

What you will do
- Advise business unit leadership and technology and operational teams on risk identification, assessment, response planning, and control design and implementation.
- Monitor risks and controls, review exceptions, identify critical or thematic issues, and escalate risks when needed.
- Support major IT changes, new products, key business priorities, governance forums, and business-specific risk management procedures.
- Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, second-line risk functions, and audit.
- Coordinate operational and SOx audit readiness, remediation tracking, and reporting.
- Drive risk management maturity through frameworks, training, awareness initiatives, and coaching junior risk professionals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of IT risk management, IT governance, operational risk management, SOx, ICOFR, and COSO.
- Strong stakeholder management, process orientation, problem-solving, and action-oriented execution.
- Fully comfortable working in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with project or line management is advantageous.
Nice to have
- Experience with GDPR, DMA, DSA, or FCRM compliance domains.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, as well as Cloud, Data, or AI technology domains.
- Relevant qualifications such as CRISC, CRM, CRMP, FRM, CISM, CCSP, CGEIT, CIPM, CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA.
- Experience in a large e-commerce or technology company.
