Microscopy Technician (Sample Prep) - NIGHT SHIFT

Location: Milpitas, California, USA; onsite laboratory role. Night shift: 9:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m., Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, four 10-hour shifts.

Salary: USD 30–35 per hour, plus shift differential.

What you will do

• Operate dual-beam SEM-FIB systems to prepare high-quality TEM lamellae.
• Prepare samples from advanced semiconductor devices and novel materials.
• Use specialized laboratory equipment to apply precise surface coatings for imaging.
• Coordinate workflows with team members to deliver high-priority client projects under tight deadlines.
• Operate laboratory equipment and computers for extended periods while maintaining focus and accuracy.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electron Microscopy, Materials Science, or a similar field.
• MS and PhD candidates will not be considered.
• Ability to proactively complete tasks independently and make timely workflow decisions.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain stationary for approximately 90% of the workday and perform repetitive laboratory equipment operations.
