People Business Partner (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach Campus, Long Beach, California, United States; travel to Mojave approximately once per quarter and Hawthorne approximately once per week is required.

Salary: $87,002–$123,500 USD per year in California.

What you will do

• Partner with functional stakeholders and managers on organizational health, change leadership, talent management, and employee needs.
• Implement and support performance management cycles, goal setting, compensation reviews, and other core HR processes.
• Advise managers and employees on day-to-day HR matters with a focus on fairness, compliance, and culture.
• Coach managers on team development, performance feedback, and building inclusive, high-performing teams.
• Deploy employee engagement initiatives and use people data to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Improve HR workflows and data accuracy to support scalable and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner role.
• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, employee relations, performance management, and talent management.
• Demonstrated ability to coach managers on team development and performance feedback.
• Experience in a startup, fast-paced high-growth, or manufacturing environment.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing because the role provides access to U.S.-controlled export information and items.

Nice to have

• SHRM or PHR certification.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or operations-heavy groups with large hourly workforces.
• Experience with HR systems and data analytics tools.
• Ability to prioritize work and self-manage projects in a dynamic environment.
