Salary: $95,000–$149,500 annually; $117,500–$176,500 annually for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Learn Inmarsat flight dynamics processes through an apprenticeship.
• Support station-keeping operations for hirify.global-1, hirify.global-2, hirify.global-3, and Inmarsat-5 satellites.
• Assist with flight dynamics operations for internal and external customers.
• Develop and integrate mission-specific software for analytical and operational support.
• Learn to plan station-keeping manoeuvres for future satellite generations.
• Automate interactions with modem software to support continuous station-keeping deployment.

Requirements

• University degree in science, mathematics, or engineering.
• Experience with Fortran, C, C++, Java, Tcl/Tk, or Python.
• Experience with UNIX and Linux operating systems.
• Written and verbal proficiency in English.
• US citizenship and an active United States Secret Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of orbit dynamics, orbit determination, orbit propagation, celestial event prediction, and station-keeping theory.
• Understanding of attitude control theory.
• Familiarity with weighted least-squares algorithms or Kalman Filter applications.
• Experience with Matlab, Excel, or similar analytical tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating manoeuvre instructions.
