Systems Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom; onsite at RAF Brize Norton

What you will do

• Maintain the accuracy of data in Ground Support and related software systems to support continued fleet airworthiness.
• Support software version migrations, including migration planning, non-regression testing, new functionality testing, and verification of bug fixes.
• Audit reference data and upload new OMP versions, aircraft information, approved configurations, and MRO event data to MDS.
• Investigate Q-Pulse incidents and coordinate the resolution of airworthiness-impacting issues with Part M, P145, CAMO, and GSD teams.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in Ground Support Systems software and recommend improvements to system performance and data quality.
• Provide technical support in coordination meetings with nations, OCCAR, and the A400M Programme, and capture new requirements from training and safety investigations.

Requirements

• Must have or be able to obtain security clearance eligibility to access UK Ministry of Defence establishments.
• Work is based at RAF Brize Norton and involves ITAR and export control restrictions.
• Experience with IT systems and tools such as Excel, Access, XML, SQL, or PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of software engineering processes and software development.
• Ability to work with multinational teams and complex organizational environments, including air forces, hirify.global support centres, hirify.global central teams, and external providers.
