What you will do

  • Teach pediatric nursing through clinical instruction and, under supervision, didactic course content.
  • Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate students providing nursing care to children and families.
  • Provide documented feedback, remediation, assignments, and timely assessment of student work.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with course coordinators, faculty, administrators, clinical agencies, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support program development, assessment activities, student retention, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • At least 2 years of direct patient care experience in pediatric nursing or the assigned clinical specialty.
  • Professional nurse licensure in Illinois is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, and prudent judgment.
  • Ability to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing instruction.
