Behavioral Health Assessment Clinician (Pediatric Mental Health)

Location: Remote, United States. Flexible scheduling within 7 am–8 pm Pacific Time, Monday–Saturday.

Clinical compensation: $62–$96 per completed session. Administrative time is paid at $25 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and caregivers, primarily for ADHD and anxiety.
• Gather and synthesize developmental, behavioral, psychiatric, medical, family, school, and psychosocial information.
• Evaluate symptoms, functional impairment, diagnostic criteria, differential diagnoses, and safety concerns.
• Integrate interviews, standardized measures, collateral information, and records into clear clinical formulations.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations and explain findings and next steps to families.
• Document assessments accurately and collaborate with behavioral health, medical, and care coordination teams on care transitions.

Requirements

• Relevant master's degree with active LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC licensure, or a PhD/PsyD in psychology with active psychologist licensure.
• Current California licensure required; willingness to obtain licenses in additional states is expected.
• Experience assessing children and adolescents and working with parents and caregivers.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic assessment, clinical formulation, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, risk assessment, and safety planning.
• Experience assessing and treating pediatric ADHD and/or anxiety, including administering and interpreting standardized behavioral health measures.
• Ability to communicate complex clinical findings clearly and work within a structured, evidence-based assessment model.

Nice to have

• Spanish proficiency, with a pay differential.
• Experience in integrated behavioral health, pediatric care, multidisciplinary healthcare, or virtual behavioral health assessments.
• Licensure in additional states.
