Medical Director (Pediatric Pulmonology)

Location: United States Work at Home; 100% remote

Salary: $207,800–$346,300 USD annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Complete time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical necessity reviews using EviCore’s case management software.
• Conduct peer-to-peer consultations with referring healthcare providers.
• Apply pediatric pulmonology expertise to evaluate requested services and treatments.
• Recommend alternative services or treatments when medically appropriate.
• Collaborate with more than 500 EviCore physician colleagues to support evidence-based patient care.

Requirements

• Current, active U.S. medical license and eligibility to acquire additional state licenses as required.
• M.D. or D.O. with ABMS or AOA board certification in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, typing, and computer skills.
• Ability to work autonomously with automated processes, applications, and systems.
• Availability for a set Monday–Friday weekly schedule and compliance with wired encrypted-workstation and broadband requirements.

• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws.
• Knowledge of Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards.
