Military Student Finance Analyst

Location: Lisle, Illinois, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday

Salary: $17.15–$27.36 per hour

What you will do

• Support military-affiliated students, internal stakeholders, and external agencies through email, phone, Salesforce, and web conferencing.
• Process Direct Bill transactions, VA education benefits, tuition assistance, third-party billing, and accounts receivable activity.
• Support VA School Certifying Official activities, including enrollment certification, adjustments, reporting, and compliance.
• Resolve student account balances and debt concerns through cross-functional collaboration and proactive follow-up.
• Reconcile accounts, meet service-level agreements and performance benchmarks, and maintain an annual quality accuracy rating of at least 95%.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to military student finance projects, training, and organizational initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred, or equivalent related experience.
• Experience with military student finance operations and military-affiliated students preferred.
• Familiarity with VA School Certification processes, GI Bill benefits, Tuition Assistance, and Department of Veterans Affairs compliance preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, analytical, mathematical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based applications, database systems, higher education systems, and accounts receivable processes.
