What you will do

• Prepare food and execute meal service for hospitality guests, tastings, and events.
• Maintain recipes and menus and develop, test, and implement new recipes designed to pair with winery wines.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, food-supply delivery or pickup, wine stocking, and cleaning projects.
• Maintain kitchen inventory and uphold safety, sanitation, and health standards.
• Assist with supervising temporary or on-call kitchen staff when the Chef de Cuisine is absent.
• Support other winery properties as required.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of meal-preparation timing and logistics.
• Current Food Handlers or ServSafe certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety, sanitation, and cross-contamination requirements.
• Effective written and verbal English skills; solid organization and time management.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work onsite in Oakville, California. Ability to stand or sit for long periods, lift up to 55 pounds, and work around wet surfaces, heat or cold, loud noise, fumes, chemicals, moving equipment, and lift-truck traffic is required.
