VDI Platform Engineer

Location: On-site in Dayton, Ohio, supporting a customer at Wright Patterson AFB; US citizenship required

What you will do

• Build and maintain gold images, multi-session host pools, and FSLogix profile containers.
• Implement cost-saving auto-scaling rules and optimize virtual desktop environments.
• Package and deploy applications, integrate Active Directory and AWS Directory Services, and administer AWS WorkSpaces pools.
• Configure WSP and PCoIP streaming protocols, instant clones, virtualization storage layers, Horizon Connection Servers, and hybrid extensions.
• Test virtual desktop environments, gather latency, logon-time, and peripheral-compatibility metrics, and refine templates using user feedback.

Requirements

• Proficiency in VDI platform engineering and testing.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field.
• US citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance are required.
• Experience with 10ZiG Manager or an equivalent thin-client deployment console.
• Experience writing SOPs, technical design blueprints, system whitepapers, and supporting STIG and CTO/ATO documentation in regulated enterprise environments.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator.
• VMware VCP-DTM or Omnissa Horizon credentials.
