Staff Pharmacist

What you will do

• Process, verify, and inspect patient prescriptions before shipment.
• Provide comprehensive patient counseling and education to support medication adherence.
• Perform prospective and concurrent drug use reviews, evaluate medication therapy, and report adverse drug events.
• Review laboratory values, patient history, concomitant medications, allergies, and disease states.
• Monitor adherence, persistence, therapy impact, and REMS documentation standards.
• Educate and supervise pharmacy technicians while resolving patient and prescriber inquiries, including occasional emergency dispensing and shipping.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• At least two years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Current, unrestricted, and undisciplined Missouri pharmacist license required.
• Competence with Microsoft Office and basic phone system operation.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week in an office environment and perform extended periods of sitting or standing.

Nice to have

• PharmD and five years of pharmacy practice experience, especially in specialty pharmacy or home infusion.
• Residency, management or Pharmacist in Charge experience.
• BCPS, MTM, or multistate pharmacist licensure.
• Experience with multiple patient management and dispensing systems.
