Manager, Studio Production (Video Production)

Location: CA - Irvine; the role is based in the Los Angeles office and requires managing a physical in-house studio

Salary: $76,900–$135,200 USD annually

What you will do

• Run day-to-day studio operations, including scheduling, space allocation, equipment management, and workflow across concurrent shoots.
• Manage, hire, train, and set expectations for studio staff.
• Coordinate with producers, Creative Directors, and Art Directors to prepare spaces, equipment, and staffing for upcoming shoots.
• Maintain camera, lighting, and grip equipment inventories and coordinate repairs and rentals.
• Develop studio processes and safety standards while keeping the space organized and shoot-ready.
• Manage the studio budget and troubleshoot production issues in real time to maintain efficiency and throughput.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of studio or production operations experience, including management of a physical production space.
• Experience managing a team and improving operational processes and standards.
• Strong working knowledge of photo and video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and grip gear.
• Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships for equipment and studio needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly during challenging shoot days.
