Senior Leaves & Accommodations Specialist

Location: USA - Remote; ability to travel up to 10%

Annual salary: $93,000–$135,000 USD, plus bonus/incentive pay

What you will do

• Manage the full life cycle of leave of absence cases under FMLA, comparable state laws, company leave policies, and short- and long-term disability programs.
• Administer workplace accommodation cases under the ADA, PWFA, similar laws, and religious accommodation requirements.
• Lead the interactive accommodation process with associates, people leaders, healthcare providers, and HR stakeholders.
• Review documentation, identify reasonable accommodations, and recommend timely determinations for complex cases.
• Develop solutions that balance employee restrictions with business and operational impact.
• Guide managers and HR stakeholders toward consistent, compliant decisions by translating policies and legal requirements into clear guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in leave administration, workplace accommodations, or HR generalist work with a strong leave and ADA focus.
• In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, state and local leave laws, and disability programs.
• Substantial experience managing the interactive accommodation process with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex, ambiguous, high-risk cases using sound judgment and influencing business decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience administering leave and accommodation programs across multiple states, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
• Experience handling accommodations in specialized manufacturing environments, clean and cold rooms, and field-based sales and service roles at healthcare facilities.
