AI Strategy Senior Principal

Location: United States Work at Home. Remote work requires cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Salary: $175,100–$291,800 per year, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Identify, frame, validate, and prioritize AI opportunities with significant enterprise revenue, margin, customer, provider, or clinical value.
• Translate financial, operational, clinical, and pharmacy problems into investment-ready theses with clear value, risks, required investment, and success conditions.
• Develop portfolio scoring methodologies, business cases, investment theses, value realization models, roadmaps, and stage-gate criteria.
• Assess buy, build, partner, hybrid, venture investment, incubation, and M&A paths while identifying duplicate or low-value investments.
• Define adoption, productivity, financial, quality, customer experience, and clinical outcome metrics before work is staffed.
• Advise senior business, clinical, product, and operations leaders on AI investment decisions and responsible-use considerations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, public health, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in strategy, product strategy, management consulting, business operations, finance, digital transformation, or a related field in a large or regulated enterprise.
• Experience framing business problems, developing investment cases, and supporting fund, sequence, or stop decisions.
• Ability to evaluate value, adoption risk, implementation complexity, and total cost of ownership with technology counterparts.
• Working literacy in current AI capabilities, product development, user needs, and experience expectations.
• Experience operating in a matrix and communicating clear recommendations to senior business leaders.

Nice to have

• Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience in healthcare payer, provider, pharmacy, clinical, benefits, or healthcare services environments.
• Familiarity with clinical workflows, claims, utilization management, prior authorization, care management, provider operations, or member engagement.
• Experience with Responsible AI, privacy, regulatory considerations, or innovation and digital portfolio management.
