What you will do

• Support faculty and research teams with the design, implementation, operation, and reporting of community-engaged health studies.
• Coordinate research procedures, including preparation and management of Institutional Review Board (IRB) human subjects protocols.
• Assist with participant recruitment, data collection, field work, study logistics, and online research tools such as Qualtrics and REDCap.
• Develop and refine curricula and program materials for chronic disease prevention and health promotion.
• Prepare grant applications, proposals, reports, scientific presentations, manuscripts, manuals, and other dissemination materials.
• Clean, manage, document, merge, and preliminarily analyze qualitative and quantitative research data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, nutrition, exercise science, health communication, health administration, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of related experience.
• Ability to safeguard confidential information and comply with privacy and data integrity requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and organize research activities.
• Excellent written and oral communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience with community-engaged research, clinical research implementation, health intervention evaluation, or underserved and urban populations.
• Experience with scientific writing, statistical modeling, research datasets, R, SPSS, Stata, SAS, Tableau, or Power BI.
