Software Development Engineer (Python/Kafka)

What you will do

• Design and implement robust event-driven architectures for observability and comprehensive event tracking across data pipelines.
• Develop modular systems that integrate new data formats and domains while maintaining scalability and adaptability.
• Build solutions with access control, fault tolerance, real-time alerting, and reliable digital record keeping.
• Create frameworks for granular monitoring and rapid response to system events.
• Develop asynchronous and concurrent Python services using distributed messaging and data interchange technologies.
• Build dashboards and monitor system health with Grafana and the ELK stack.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance applicable to the customer
• Python development, including asynchronous coding and concurrency.
• Kafka, JSON, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
• Fault-tolerant architecture and scalable data pipeline development.
• Observability, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

Nice to have

• Access control experience in event-driven architectures.
• Modular system design for data pipelines.
