Associate - Corporate and Specialty Banking Relationship Manager

What you will do

• Support Senior Corporate Banking Relationship Managers in researching clients and prospects and servicing commercial banking relationships.
• Create proposals, pitch materials, financial models, agendas, and client-call analyses in collaboration with capital markets and product partners.
• Join client and prospect calls, take detailed notes, maintain call reports, and update the corporate CRM.
• Monitor referrals and opportunities for loans, deposits, and fee-generating products while maintaining pipeline accuracy.
• Support loan underwriting, BSA/AML/KYC onboarding, account planning, cross-sell planning, and Capital Allocation Committee commitments.
• Develop knowledge of corporate banking products and inform management about relationships, portfolio factors, and the competitive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Formal credit training at Huntington or an equivalent institution.
• At least 2 years of commercial banking experience, preferably in a CSG Credit Products Analyst/Associate role or equivalent.
• FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, or the ability to take and pass the SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 exams within the required timeframe.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• MBA, CFA, or a similar advanced degree.
• Strong credit skills, corporate financial statement analysis, credit-structure recommendations, and knowledge of credit fundamentals and risk appetite.
• Understanding of corporate banking products and applicable regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication, planning, negotiation, organization, analytical, interpersonal, and sales skills.
• Legal or loan documentation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn additional systems and software quickly.
