Senior AI Application Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, NY, USA; eligible for hire in select U.S. locations

Salary: $178,000–$215,000 yearly

What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement scalable multi-agent systems for complex, multi-step business processes.
• Translate existing processes into agentic solutions and develop multi-agent architectures for new opportunities.
• Build agentic applications using orchestration frameworks such as Google ADK, LangGraph, and CrewAI.
• Design secure tool-calling architectures that connect LLMs with internal databases, CRMs, and APIs.
• Implement LLMOps and AgentOps practices while mitigating prompt injection, hallucination loops, and unauthorized tool execution.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and off-site personnel; some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in generative AI, LLMs, or cognitive architectures.
• Expert-level Python and/or TypeScript skills and proficiency in Rust.
• Experience with MCP architectures, agentic design patterns, LLM APIs, and open-weights models.
• Experience with vector and graph databases and RAG architectures such as GraphRAG and hybrid search.
• Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Docker and Kubernetes containerization.

Nice to have

• Enterprise-scale deployment experience with multi-agent architectures.
• Expert-level proficiency in Rust.
• Extensive experience with RAG architectures.
