.NET Software Architect (Life Sciences)

Location: Porto Salvo, Portugal; working East Coast US hours

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of secure, scalable, high-performance .NET applications.
• Contribute to full-stack development across backend and frontend components.
• Evolve established products and develop client-specific solutions, configurations, and product modules.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and application support.
• Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional partners on requirements, scope, and delivery timelines.
• Drive code quality, architectural documentation, scalability, performance optimization, and modernization across the product portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 7 years of software development experience focused on .NET and full-stack applications.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale software solutions and leading technical initiatives across development teams.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Experience with database design, development, and administration, including SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Experience building secure, scalable, high-availability applications and using AI-assisted development tools.
