Identity and Access Management Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Milton Keynes office (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Operate and maintain IAM services, including user lifecycle management, provisioning, and access reviews.
• Manage identity governance controls such as RBAC, least-privilege access, and Conditional Access.
• Onboard applications into the IAM platform using SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Engineer improvements and automation to reduce manual effort in identity processes.
• Maintain audit evidence and support regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to resolve access issues and manage risks.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure identity management.
• Understanding of IAM principles including RBAC, privileged access, and segregation of duties.
• Experience balancing operational BAU tasks with hands-on engineering and scripting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical risks in plain English.
• Experience working in a regulated or control-focused environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation tools (Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform IAM governance.
• Experience with credential management platforms like 1Password.
• Experience using AI tools to improve security processes.
