Implementation Specialist / Business Analyst

Location: Remote in Alberta, Canada; travel to client sites across Canada and the U.S. may be required, up to 15%

Salary: CAD 65,000–75,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and document customer business requirements, use cases, pain points, and data needs.
• Map client processes and translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Configure workflows, business rules, and system settings in CityView without developing software.
• Identify gaps between client needs and standard system capabilities, and support enhancement opportunities.
• Coordinate legacy data conversion, test and validate configured solutions, and deliver implementations.
• Train end users in remote and classroom-led sessions while providing support throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with software configuration, business process analysis, and/or end-user training preferred.
• Experience documenting client work processes, data, systems, and related activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills in a customer-facing environment.
• Knowledge of local government processes, including licensing, permitting, or related operations.
• Post-secondary education in a technology-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 15% in Canada and the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with permitting, licensing, land management, or related government processes.
• Understanding of installed and web-based database applications.
• Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services or an equivalent tool.
