Senior Data Scientist (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado facility; onsite role. U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for aerospace manufacturing systems and enterprise applications.
• Build and optimize Palantir Foundry data models supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and operational applications.
• Develop and deploy models and analytical tools for print anomaly detection, quality forecasting, process optimization, production scheduling, financial insights, and engine performance analysis.
• Engineer prototypes into reliable, maintainable, scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions.
• Define authoritative datasets, shared metrics, business logic, data architectures, and data quality practices with data owners and subject-matter experts.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, engineering, manufacturing, analysts, and business stakeholders while mentoring team members and supporting production troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading software engineering, AI/ML, digital engineering, or industrial technology organizations.
• Experience designing, coding, testing, deploying, and supporting production-grade data science solutions and scalable data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with knowledge of distributed systems, software architecture, cloud platforms, data engineering, and AI/ML systems.
• Knowledge of data architecture, modeling, governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, MLOps, experimental design, uncertainty analysis, model evaluation, and visualization.
• Experience in regulated environments, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Aerospace engineering, flight systems, or manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience with digital thread ecosystems and ERP/MES integrations.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry and government or DoD projects.
• Published research, patents, or thought leadership in aerospace ML/AI.
