DevOps Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds or Manchester, UK; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site

What you will do

• Design, build and support CI/CD pipelines using Harness or equivalent tools, Git, Nexus and Docker.
• Operate applications across private and public cloud environments using Kubernetes, containers, networking and cloud-native platform services.
• Create infrastructure, environment and deployment automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
• Collaborate with software engineers, quality engineers and product owners to remove delivery bottlenecks and improve tooling.
• Embed security controls, approved build and release patterns, and compliance with engineering policies and frameworks.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Harness or equivalent enterprise tooling.
• At least two years of experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native services.
• At least one year of experience with Helm, Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• At least two years of experience with Docker, Git and GitHub, plus strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience with Backstage or similar developer portal technologies.
• Experience with observability, monitoring and SRE practices.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, platform security and policy-as-code.
• Experience building reusable developer self-service capabilities, templates and golden paths.
