Designer Beavers (Dredging)

hirify.global develops and manages the Beaver® series of standard cutter suction dredgers throughout their complete product lifecycle.

What you will do

• Act as the primary contact for design-related topics during the sales process.
• Analyze customer requests and identify operational requirements and challenges.
• Develop technical concepts and customized dredging vessel solutions based on the Beaver® product portfolio.
• Coordinate input from Sales, Product Management, Cost Estimators, and engineering specialists.
• Support commercial proposals with design studies, technical specifications, and customer-focused solutions.
• Monitor global dredging market developments and identify opportunities for product and solution improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Designer or Engineer in the dredging industry or a related sector.
• Strong technical knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
• Experience with stakeholder management and project coordination in a dynamic, multi-project environment.
• Ability to evaluate design alternatives and establish a sound basis for decision-making.
• Understanding of sustainability, climate adaptation, digitalization, and their impact on dredging operations.
