Senior Software Engineer, Product Frameworks (AI)

Location: New York City office with an office-centric hybrid schedule; in-person work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with work-from-home options on Wednesdays and Fridays

Base salary: $202,000–$230,000 per year, plus potential equity, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Modernize custom, home-built product frameworks and align them with current industry standards.
• Use AI agents to accelerate migration from legacy systems to modern open-source frameworks.
• Partner with product engineering teams to identify development bottlenecks and improve delivery speed.
• Promote modern engineering practices across the monorepo.
• Support engineering teams through framework office hours and technical presentations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to move between different areas of a large codebase.
• Interest in using AI agents to migrate legacy systems to open-source best practices.
• Collaborative experience with agentic workflows such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• Experience driving complex technical projects across multiple teams and articulating cross-cutting technical tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with full-stack development, including TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
