Supervisor, Production (Medical Devices)

Location: Wheeling, Illinois, United States; less than 5% travel required.

Base salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Supervise production employees and direct daily department activities to meet production goals and scheduled product availability.
• Balance throughput by scheduling resources and equipment, monitoring capacity constraints, and maintaining floor-stock inventory.
• Improve safety, quality, and production processes while maintaining compliance with ISO, cGMP, FDA, and ISO 13485 standards.
• Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to department employees, including setting goals and supporting product awareness.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Materials Management, Quality Assurance, and management to resolve operational obstacles and achieve throughput and budget objectives.
• Support department budgeting, variance management, safety programs, and communication between employees and management.

Requirements

• AA/AS degree with 4 years of experience, or BA/BS degree with 2 years of direct line supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of medical components.
• Knowledge of ISO/cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Ability to work in an onsite production environment in Wheeling, Illinois.
• Less than 5% travel and light physical demands.
