TL;DR
Software Developer II (.NET) (C#, .NET, SQL Server): Building and delivering enterprise technical solutions for federal public health applications with an accent on systems design, integration, Agile delivery, and quality assurance. Focus on optimizing SQL Server queries, supporting Azure cloud migrations, tuning application performance, and developing C# services within bi-weekly sprints.
Location: In-office in Durham, North Carolina, USA. Candidates must be US citizens or able to obtain a US Government Public Trust 5 security clearance.

What you will do
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver C# and SQL Server applications.
- Align technical solutions with business and IT strategies and architectural standards.
- Contribute to component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, and developers in an Agile team.
- Manage multiple objectives within bi-weekly sprints and document system designs, processes, and procedures.
- Support development collaboration, version upgrades, and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC, JavaScript, CSS, DevOps, and related .NET technologies.
- 5 or more years of experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, query optimization, and views.
- Experience with RESTful services, XML, HTML, regular expressions, source control, and Agile development.
- Experience writing test plans and performing unit, system, and regression testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- US citizenship or the ability to obtain a US Government Public Trust 5 security clearance is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure SQL Database and enterprise migration to Microsoft Azure services, including Data Factory and Data Lake Storage.
- Knowledge of public health technologies such as HL7/FHIR, ICD coding, and epidemiological or statistical functions.
