Service Engineer, Combat System

Location: Turku, Finland; the role includes travel mainly within Finland and internationally, including onboarding travel to Sweden.

hirify.global provides commissioning and field service for 9LV combat systems used on marine platforms above and below the water surface.

What you will do

• Participate in projects from initial commissioning through final ship delivery.
• Install, set to work, commission, and support hirify.global 9LV combat systems.
• Conduct surveys for upcoming midlife upgrades and support delivered systems.
• Collaborate with System Engineers, Software Integrators, suppliers, and shipyards.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues to bring ships and systems into operation.

Requirements

• Formal technical high school degree or equivalent.
• Experience commissioning and installing both hardware and software.
• Skills in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Knowledge of service and maintenance.
• Fluent Finnish and English communication skills are required.
• Drug testing and approved security clearance under the Finnish Security Clearance Act are required. Additional country-specific clearances, including Swedish clearances, may be required depending on assignments.

Nice to have

• Experience in the naval or defense industry.
• Knowledge of networks and network switches.
• Linux command-line experience.
• Understanding of functional diagrams and serial communication.
