Senior Software Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working policy

Salary: €87,800–€131,800 EUR gross annual base pay, with potential bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain client-side SDKs, middleware, and system software using C/C++.
• Lead technical design discussions and make architecture decisions for SDK and platform capabilities.
• Design scalable APIs and translate product requirements into robust technical designs and implementation plans.
• Own complex features from design through delivery, focusing on quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Quality Engineering, and global engineering teams, including teams in Tokyo.
• Improve engineering practices, release quality, documentation, sample applications, developer tooling, and platform adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing production software with C/C++.
• Experience developing SDKs, frameworks, middleware, or complex client-side software systems.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, API design, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with client/server architectures, networking technologies, distributed systems, or platform services.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, influencing design decisions, collaborating across functions, and mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with cross-platform SDKs, frameworks, developer tooling, documentation, automation, or platform enhancements.
• Experience developing iOS or Android applications, or production mobile and desktop applications with React Native.
• Experience with C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, CI/CD, build infrastructure, or release engineering.
• Experience working with Quality Engineering teams and Agile methodologies.
