Working Student – Common Data Platform Project Management Support (SQL)

Location: Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany; partly remote work depending on the task

What you will do

• Bridge communication between data engineers and business stakeholders by translating technical concepts into business terms and business needs into technical requirements.
• Write SQL queries to retrieve and analyze database data and turn findings into actionable insights.
• Provide structured end-user support through documentation, communication, and targeted training sessions.
• Maintain project trackers, timelines, and documentation using Excel, Teams, Azure DevOps, and SharePoint.
• Support task tracking, status updates, priority alignment, milestones, and deadlines across global multi-vendor teams.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Economics, Data or Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from databases.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an international environment.
• Proactive, structured, and eager to learn new tools and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
