TL;DR
Telecom Engineer - Voice Deployment (SIP/Voice Networks): Designing and deploying scalable, redundant voice technologies across data centers and public cloud with an accent on service reliability, platform resilience, and deployment efficiency. Focus on analyzing telecom incidents, automating deployments, introducing new voice features and devices, and mentoring a global team of Voice Engineers.
Location: Porto, Portugal. Fully remote for candidates residing outside Porto, Maia, Matosinhos, Gondomar, Valongo, and Vila Nova de Gaia; candidates residing within these municipalities must work in the office 3 days per week.

What you will do
- Design and deploy scalable, redundant, and highly available telecom solutions across data centers and public cloud environments.
- Improve voice platform reliability, performance, resilience, automation, and service quality.
- Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to introduce telecom features, devices, and services.
- Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate deployment requests, define scope and timelines, and maintain operational standards and documentation.
- Transfer knowledge to operational teams, support ongoing operations, advocate for customers, and mentor global Voice Engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working with a service provider or enterprise voice network.
- Strong understanding of SIP protocols and experience documenting technical solutions with diagrams and written procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Ribbon SBCs and PSXs highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Remote or office attendance is determined by residence within the specified Porto-area municipalities.
Nice to have
- Experience with WebRTC.
- Familiarity with Cisco technologies and CCNA certification.
- Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools.
- Experience with project planning or coordination.
