Senior Backend Engineer (Autonomous AI Platform)

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; hybrid working environment with in-office and/or in-person expectations

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build cloud-native SaaS solutions and distributed microservices for enterprise-scale workloads.
• Develop and operate Kubernetes-based services with a focus on reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
• Design and optimize data models, storage layers, and database performance.
• Integrate AI services and agentic workflows into core platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, AI engineers, and SRE teams through technical design and code reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience focused on backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Node and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating cloud-based SaaS platforms and distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud-native application development.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-powered applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience deploying AI/ML workloads in production, agentic systems, RAG architectures, AI orchestration frameworks, or LLM applications.
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, infrastructure-as-code, automation, security, and compliance.
