Working Student in Paints & Coatings Team (Aerospace Paints & Coatings)

Location: Bremen, Germany; the position is based in Bremen and normally takes place on the company premises. Mobile working is possible after agreement with the department.

Salary: At least €19.10 per hour, depending on the job, plus special payments such as vacation pay.

What you will do

• Support research and development of sustainable, next-generation paint systems for aircraft.
• Research EHS-compliant primer and paint systems.
• Formulate, apply, and analyze model coatings for different applications.
• Define test programs, execute technical testing, and prepare technical reports.
• Conduct analytical investigations of the physical and chemical properties of coatings.

Requirements

• Be enrolled full-time at a university or higher-education institution in Paint Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Negotiation-level English is required.
• Demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.
• Show interest in surface technology, paint and coatings formulation, and corrosion prevention.
• Work effectively in a multi-location, international team.
• Be available for approximately 18 hours per week during a fixed-term 12-month position alongside studies.

Nice to have

• Experience with analytical evaluation and corrosion assessment of organic coatings.
• A final thesis may be possible after consultation with the department.
