TL;DR
Finance Business Partner China R and D (Finance/Pharmaceutical R&D): Guiding China R&D investment strategies, financial performance management, forecasting, and resource allocation across Development, TMU, and Research operations with an accent on portfolio productivity, risk management, and strategic planning. Focus on building financial scenarios and business cases, supporting clinical project finance, and informing pipeline prioritization, business development, and M&A decisions.

What you will do
- Advise China Development, TMU, and Research leadership on R&D investments, resource allocation, and strategic priorities.
- Own P&L and performance management across China R&D operations, including KPI tracking, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
- Lead consolidated budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning cycles in coordination with Global R&D Finance and Corporate teams.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, develop scenarios and business cases, and support pipeline prioritization and go/no-go decisions.
- Provide end-to-end financial support for assigned global clinical projects, including valuations, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Contribute to China business development, alliance management, M&A activities, therapeutic area strategy, and annual strategic planning.
Requirements
- Master's degree or MBA in Finance.
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting with R&D exposure.
- Experience partnering with executive senior leaders and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
