Business Systems Analyst (Life Sciences & Laboratory Systems)

What you will do

• Analyze vendor-provided COTS documentation to identify functionality changes, new features, gaps, risks, and system impacts.
• Develop and update system requirements based on business needs and vendor functionality.
• Translate technical changes into business insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
• Work with software vendors and business users, including laboratory teams, to clarify requirements, align solutions, and validate changes.
• Lead requirements walkthroughs and workshops with business, IT, and vendor teams.
• Support UAT and validation through risk-based testing, defect tracking, triage, and requirements management in Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in systems analysis or similar roles.
• Experience with life sciences, laboratory environments, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with COTS applications, vendor delivery models, requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Excellent English communication skills are required.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams, vendors, and business stakeholders while maintaining high documentation quality and compliance with regulated-environment standards such as FDA requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar requirements-management tools.
• Experience working in an offshore/onshore model.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Copilot for productivity, analysis, and documentation.
