Clinical Business Operations Associate - Portfolio & Operations Support (Pharmaceutical/CRO)

What you will do

• Prepare, coordinate, and deliver quarterly portfolio reports, consolidating performance data for leadership.
• Support portfolio governance, performance tracking, KPI reporting, dashboards, and continuous process improvement.
• Lead quarter-end close and accrual management activities, monitor financial operations, and resolve discrepancies with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Oversee purchase order processes, travel and expense reporting, and related operational data.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder communications, SharePoint updates, newsletters, and approved communication materials.
• Provide status updates, risk escalations, performance insights, and operational support while managing multiple priorities independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a research and development environment, specifically pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO.
• Three to five years of clinical project management experience is mandatory.
• Experience in business operations, project coordination, portfolio management, finance operations, or a related clinical function.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and data accuracy skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Three years of financial analytics experience.
• Experience with portfolio governance, operational performance management, KPI reporting, dashboarding, and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
