Intern in Space-Software Unit Testing & Migration (Embedded)

Location: Immenstaad/Friedrichshafen, Germany; work at the Airbus site in Friedrichshafen

What you will do

• Manually migrate existing unit tests from VectorCAST to Unity/CMock.
• Execute and validate migrated tests in the development environment.
• Analyze tests and implement improvements to increase quality and efficiency.
• Explore AI agents for automatically creating and implementing new Unity/CMock unit tests.
• Prepare a detailed internship report covering results and best practices.

Requirements

• Be enrolled full-time in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree program.
• Have good knowledge of the C programming language, ideally in an embedded environment.
• Have a structured working style and the ability to quickly understand complex relationships.
• Be fluent in German or English.
• Provide a cover letter, CV, relevant transcripts, and enrollment certificate.

Nice to have

• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Unity, CMock, or Google Test.
• Interest in modern development tools and artificial intelligence in software engineering.
