AI Algorithm Research Intern – Neuromorphic Computing (AI): Developing, implementing, and benchmarking algorithms and applications for Intel’s next-generation neuromorphic architecture with an accent on edge computing, signal processing, autonomous systems, and physical AI. Focus on building AI models, optimizing algorithm performance, and contributing code and documentation to a neuromorphic SDK.
Location: Hybrid role based at the site in Guadalajara, Mexico, with unrestricted permanent right to work in Mexico required.

What you will do
- Develop, implement, and benchmark applications for ’s next-generation neuromorphic architecture.
- Demonstrate the value of neuromorphic technologies for edge computing, signal processing, and autonomous systems.
- Author and publish research results in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Contribute code, documentation, code reviews, and continuous software improvements to ’s neuromorphic SDK.
Requirements
- Enrollment in an MSc or PhD program in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience writing clean, efficient, and modular Python and C++ code.
- 2+ years of experience with deep learning, machine learning, mathematical optimization, and AI frameworks including PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- 1+ years of experience developing AI models for perception, reasoning, and control, such as YOLO, LLMs, or VLA models.
- Experience with software development practices including object-oriented design, testing, debugging, documentation, version control, and code reviews.
- Intermediate to advanced English and unrestricted permanent right to work in Mexico required; employment-based visa or immigration sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with edge AI hardware accelerators or event-based sensors.
- Experience developing software for robotics or real-time control systems.
- Experience profiling and benchmarking algorithms and hardware architectures.
