What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain simulation systems, tools, and virtual environments for robotic warehouse automation.
- Build faster-than-real-time, scalable simulation environments for engineering analysis, design validation, system testing, qualification, deployment, and operational planning.
- Develop simulation capabilities at component, robot, fleet, and system levels, covering perception, controls, routing, fleet coordination, and warehouse operations.
- Evaluate simulation tools and improve their performance, scalability, accuracy, usability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with robotics, controls, perception, cloud, QA, and product teams to align simulation capabilities with development and operational needs.
- Provide technical analysis and recommendations, mentor engineers, and maintain architecture diagrams, design notes, configuration guides, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in simulation systems, robotics systems, optimization systems, or virtual environments.
- Professional Gz-Sim and ROS2 expertise.
- Mastery of C++ and Python, with a strong foundation in designing, implementing, testing, optimizing, and maintaining complex simulation software.
- Hands-on experience with simulations, digital twins, virtual environments, or system modeling tools for real-world engineering applications.
- Working proficiency in verbal and written English and the ability to present technical concepts, findings, risks, and recommendations independently in an international environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with faster-than-real-time and multi-fidelity simulation modeling.
- Experience with cloud-based simulation, distributed workloads, or scalable simulation infrastructure.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf.
- Experience with C# or JavaScript.
