Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Location: Australia; remote work with frequent travel to client sites across Australia, including interstate and occasional overnight travel

Target total package: $200K AUD, plus 12% superannuation, travel-day loading, and go-live milestone bonuses.

What you will do

• Own AI deployments end to end, from signed deal through production go-live and stabilization.
• Design and ship production AI agent flows, including prompt engineering, orchestration, edge-case handling, and testing.
• Integrate the platform with legacy systems, APIs, CRMs, telephony, and customer infrastructure.
• Debug and resolve production issues in customer environments involving security, compliance, and incomplete requirements.
• Work directly with customers and communicate technical decisions to engineers and business leaders.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering and systems integration fundamentals with Python or Node, APIs, and data.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI systems, including RAG, vector databases, evaluation, or fine-tuning.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience solving complex problems in legacy or enterprise environments, with strong product judgment and structured problem decomposition.
• Fluent, confident English is essential.
• Current, unrestricted right to work in Australia is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
