Software Development Engineer in Test (FinTech)

Location: Office-based in Mumbai, India

What you will do

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product managers to define test strategies and automation coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated suites for functional, regression, integration, smoke, canary, API, and performance testing.
• Build tools to simulate market events and validate complex financial workflows.
• Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and prevent regressions.
• Implement QA best practices and evolve automation frameworks for greater scalability and efficiency.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software testing and test automation experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, TypeScript, or VBScript.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or UFT and testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, POM, or Hybrid.
• Experience with test management tools such as ALM, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or Jira.
• Experience with mocking or stubbing tools and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies including Agile, Continuous Testing, and Shift-Left Testing.

Nice to have

• FinTech, BFSI, or other regulated and mission-critical domain experience.
• Experience testing Spring Boot applications and building API, integration, or end-to-end automated tests.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, SQL, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, or Maven.
