Systems V&V Engineer – Surveillance (Avionics)

What you will do

• Plan, develop, and execute system test cases, procedures, and scripts for surveillance development programs.
• Perform hands-on systems verification and validation, documenting test execution and results.
• Ensure requirements-based test coverage and traceability to systems and customer requirements.
• Define verification strategies and manage test dependencies with Systems Development, Software Engineering, and Project Leads.
• Track verification status, formal test execution, and open Problem Reports for project stakeholders.
• Author and peer-review Systems Test Procedures, System Test Reports, and lifecycle documentation in accordance with ARP4754A.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting systems engineering activities, including requirements definition or system integration.
• Experience writing system requirements, validation procedures, test specifications, and executing system tests.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, critical-thinking, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to evaluate processes and implement more effective ways of working.
• Ability to adopt and promote automation and AI tools to improve team speed, quality, and execution.

Nice to have

• Experience developing system designs, specifications, models, system-level test procedures, and test scripts.
• Knowledge of commercial aviation engineering standards, ARP-4754A, and DO-178 processes.
• Familiarity with TCAS, ADS-B In and Out, transponders, TAWS, and ACAS X specifications.
