What you will do
- Define automation strategies, tooling roadmaps, governance, standards, and best practices across applications and services.
- Build maintainable, reusable, and scalable UI automation for web applications using frameworks such as Playwright.
- Develop API tests with Postman, REST Assured, or comparable tools using an API-first approach.
- Design functional, integration, negative, contract, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Evaluate and implement AI/GenAI capabilities such as test-script generation, self-healing tests, flaky-test detection, and change-impact analysis.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, track quality metrics, collaborate in Agile ceremonies, and mentor QA engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in software QA, test automation, or SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, integration testing, UI testing, and API testing.
- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Knowledge of test and defect management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, and ALM.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Practical experience applying AI/GenAI to software testing, plus the ability to mentor and technically guide QA engineers.
Nice to have
- Performance testing experience with tools such as JMeter, ReadyAPI, WebLOAD, or Neoload.
- Selenium, API contract testing, service virtualization, cloud-based test execution, and containerized environments.
- Experience with REST Assured, Karate, Pact, WireMock, TDD/BDD, microservices, or micro-frontend testing.
- Programming experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
