What you will do

  • Lead the scientific interpretation, documentation, and governance of Clinical Outcome Assessment scoring algorithms.
  • Translate scoring manuals, publications, and author guidance into scientifically valid, implementation-ready requirements.
  • Define missing-data handling, completion thresholds, suppression logic, derivations, transformations, weighting, and conditional scoring rules.
  • Assess score interpretation guidance, including severity bands, score meaning, benchmarks, and clinically relevant outputs.
  • Partner with statisticians, programmers, product, and engineering teams to validate scoring implementations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop standard templates, SOPs, review checklists, and reusable scientific assets for scalable scoring operations.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in outcomes research, psychometrics, epidemiology, public health, psychology, health sciences, or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in COA science, outcomes research, psychometrics, patient-centred research, pharma, CRO, healthcare research, or instrument development.
  • Experience with instrument development, validation, psychometric evidence, or meaningful-change interpretation.
  • Deep familiarity with COA domains, scoring structures, recall periods, missing-data rules, and clinical research use.
  • Ability to evaluate ambiguous source documentation and make well-documented scientific judgements or escalations.
  • Strong written English is required, and the CV must be submitted in English. This role is not open to visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting regulated or audit-sensitive clinical research workflows.
  • Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior scientists, analysts, or cross-functional partners.
